Semelhante às outras espécies do género que ocorrem na nossa costa, distingue-se pela pigmentação opaca branca nos rinóforos, processos laterais, brânquias, linha média no pé e frequentemente uma pequena mancha entre os rinóforos.
Very similar to other species of this genus occurring in the Portuguese coast, it can be distinguished by the white opaque pigmentation on the rhinophores, lateral processes, gills, median line at the end of the foot and usually a blotch between the rhinophores.
