'Felimida' krohni (Verany, 1846)
[Chromodoris krohni]

Ordo: Nudibranchia
Subordo: Doridina
Familia: Chromodorididae

A fairly commmon species, it can be distinguished from other nudibranchs of the same family by the lighter tone of the body like 'Felimida' purpurea, but with yellow or white markings on the mantle. Younger individuals tend to be lighter with white spots and lines on the mantle and the larger animals tend to have darker body color with yellow spots and lines on the mantle.

The recently published work by Rebecca Fay Johnson and Terrence M. Gosliner has reviewed the phylogeny of this family so the atlantic members of the Chromodoris genus are provisionally reclassified under 'Felimida'. Therefore, the most recent classification of this species is 'Felimida' krohni.
