Very common especially during Summer at small depths. Feeds on a variety of anemones from which it extracts zooxanthella. Depending on the species its feeds upon and the concentration of zooxanthella, color may vary from blueish gray to orange. Egg masses are easily found under rocks in tidal pools.
Bottom photo shows a small juvenile..
Although there isn't much information on nudibranch predators, an individual of this species has been observed being eaten by a velvet crab (Necora puber). The specific epithet - neapolitana - means "from Naples".
